I’ve had the pleasure to work with the wonderful team at Concordia Lutheran High School for their annual 300+ person auction & banquet. As their main point of contact, I worked to assist in their menu selection, event flow & layout, as well as partner with internal departments during the event execution.

One of the favorite schools I’ve worked with, St. Patrick’s Catholic School consistently goes the extra mile for their annual gala. This particular year’s theme, ‘A Night at the Oscars’, was a challenge planning a menu for but received nothing but compliments from the event guests. In addition to assisting with menu selection, I also worked with the St. Pat’s team with their event flow, layout, event timeline and event execution.

The Creighton University’s Alumni was one of the first events I worked when I started as an Event Sales Manager at the conference center. This particular event began with multiple simultaneous cocktail parties, about a 150 people each, then all came together for their large banquet dinner & program.

One of my favorite types of events to work on are weddings. Bride & groom, Kailey & Trevor, were so loved, they almost needed a larger space! It was such a pleasure to help them make their big day special.

This 20’s themed event was one of the first (and certainly one of my favorites) during my time as a Marketing Supervisor at a casino in western Iowa. Designed to reward the companies VIP slot machine and table game players, this event was a food & drink focused cocktail party. In true speakeasy fashion, the event space was filled with glitz, glamour, outlaws & hooch. The casino marketing team dressed as flappers and gangsters, while the the banquets team dressed as old-timey bartenders. We even constructed a hidden door disguised as a bookshelf!

The first deb ball that I ever worked was quite an intricate production and a beautiful event. The debutante ball is a formal event for high school seniors to celebrate their transition into the adult world. Proceeds for this particular event support the Omaha Symphony’s education and community engagements programs. At the time of this event, I had not been at the conference center one year yet, and was assisting my Director with the day-of event execution.

I am very lucky and proud to have been part of such a unique project! Off the coast of Pompano Beach, FL, you will find an underwater casino with mermaid dealers and sharks playing cards. The Isle Casino & the City of Pompano partnered to create an artificial reef out of an old barge called the Lady Luck. Before that barge became a reef, I worked on creating the mermaid logo (and marketing collateral) while a local artist was commissioned to build the casino tables, oversized dice, slot machine reels and other statues that would soon become home to fish and coral. The site is called Shipwreck Park and has become a popular attraction for scuba divers.

Being only the second wedding I’d ever worked, this beautiful multi-day Indian-American wedding was truly one of my all-time favorites! With over 900 attendees, guests traveled domestically, as well as from India; while vendors traveled from New York, Dallas & Chicago. Wedding guests and vendors occupied both hotels as well as all 65,000 square feet of conference center space. This intricate wedding hosted celebrations & ceremonies such as the Misri, Sangeet (a celebration where the families of the bride and groom get together for song and dance), Mehendi (the henna party), as well as other traditional wedding events.

As part of the multi-day 900+ Indian-American wedding, many of spaces used for ceremonies during the day, were then flipped to be used again for evening celebrations, each with completely different decor and room layout. That meant while guests were in one ballroom for a ceremony, the it was all hands on deck for venue staff & vendors who were busing tables, removing decor and tearing down chairs; while simultaneously rolling in banquet tables, placing new decor and preparing for dinner service in a short amount of time. The conference center team rose to the challenge, making this intricate wedding a success!
